Race Information

  • Bib Pickup

Wild Iris Mountain Sports will be hosting our Bib Pickup. Stop by to pick up your race essentials, meet other racers, ask questions about the course, and meet your race directors.

    4:00-6:30 on Friday

    166 Main Street

Can’t make it during this time? Pick up your bib on Saturday morning prior to your race in the big white tent at the start/finish.

  • Start/Finish

Located at Bruce’s Parking Area in Sinks Canyon. There is limited shelter for racers so be sure to bring warm layers while you wait for your race start.

We have experienced volunteers who will help us maximize the parking lot at Bruce’s for our racers. We highly encourage carpooling if at all possible! Please enter the parking lot at the second entrance closest to the permanent toilets. If you camp at Hugh Otte, you may leave your car at your campsite and walk to the start/finish.

  • Camping

Sinks Canyon is a very special place. Maximize your time in the canyon and camp. There is free dispersed camping at the Hugh Otte Campground and is located ¼ mile from the start. Get your warm up to the start right from your campsite. There are other additional paid sites and yurts in the canyon as well.

  • Race Rules

    1. Racers must follow the designated course, marked with pink flagging and signs. Cutting switchbacks or taking shortcuts is strictly prohibited.

    2. Checking into each aid station is required. Drops must happen only at an aid station.

    3. Trekking poles may be used. Please be considerate of your fellow racers.

    4. Earbuds should only be used in one ear and listen for racers behind you.

    5. Leave No Trace

    6. Please follow required gear and dog policies.

  • Required Gear

We won’t be the gear police, but we do care about your safety and well being while out on the trails. We trust that you will make appropriate decisions about the equipment you decide to carry. However, we do require all 50K and 18K racers to carry a bottle that can hold a minimum of a half liter. It is highly recommended that 50K racers carry a full liter, especially between Bruce’s Picnic and Worthen (mile 12-20). Cups will not be provided at aid stations. 6K racers do not have any aid stations.

  • Dogs

Dogs may not pace racers on the trail. Dogs may be leashed with spectators/crews and must stay a minimum of 30 meters from aid station and start/finish tents. We think dogs are great, but unfortunately there have been too many complications with our four legged friends in the past. If you must bring your dog to the race please be considerate of this policy. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding with this.
